About KitchenCalcHub
KitchenCalcHub is a set of kitchen calculators for the two things home cooks actually need to work out: how much of each ingredient a different serving count requires, and what a measurement means in the units your jug or scale uses.
Toolkit one — recipe scaling
Scale by servings or by a fixed multiplier (double, halve, triple), plan portions for a set number of people, convert between pan shapes and sizes, translate yeast types, calculate sourdough hydration, and swap butter, honey, brown sugar, cocoa or milk with ratios from standard pastry references.
Toolkit two — kitchen conversions
Cups to grams for thirty ingredients, millilitres to cups, ounces to grams, litres to gallons, Fahrenheit to Celsius, UK gas marks, pan dimensions in inches and centimetres, and a cooking-time adjuster for different weights.
Where the numbers come from
Ingredient densities follow USDA FoodData Central values and standard baking standards and standard baking references (all-purpose flour 125 g per cup, granulated sugar 200 g, butter 227 g). Volume conversions use US customary units: 1 cup = 236.588 mL, 1 tbsp = 14.787 mL. Gas mark temperatures follow the UK convention. Every page states its ratio so you can check the arithmetic.
Designed for one hand
Most people read these on a phone propped against the counter, so results appear as fractions (1 1/2 cups) rather than decimals, and nothing requires an account. See the Privacy Policy for cookie details.
